Here's what just happened: I was designing an icon representing something new and was looking for inspiration - it's for a sitenote.ai feature that I am currently building. So I wrote a prompt with an obvious typo: "create vector linw icon repesenting something new."

Here's what I got back:

Something felt oddly familiar, and then it struck me: for some weird and potentially scary reason, DALL E was feeding me variations of my website's logo that I launched in 2018: creativecareernow.com.

WTH?

And it's not just about the shape. I admit it: bubble text inside a capsule isn't a novel idea per se. However, what blew me away is that even the text seems like it's mimicking my site's name.

It's no secret that generative AI is just regurgitating stuff that already exists on the internet. What's scary is how dumb the model is. For some reason, a group of neurons have developed an association between the word "create" and my website: creativecareernow.com.

Anyways, as a huge proponent of generative AI, I feel...humbled.
